Mary’s A Novel In 52 Prompts is one of many incredible resources within her Book Incubator program. This template is easy to understand and follow. I don’t necessarily use every prompt, but I put them all into Scrivener and check in on them when I need a boost.

When I set out to write a novel, I decided to seek out expertise, especially involving pacing and overall development, and I found the answer in Mary’s 52 Prompts. They are not a formula but more of a guide to put your creative ideas into a proper form. I am confident I could write many books using the prompts, and none of my books would appear formulaic, but rather well-structured and developed.

I was STUCK in my writing until I came across Mary's 52 Prompts. They got me unstuck and writing again after years of procrastinating. I finished two books using her prompts and it feels so good to finally have the books out of my head and onto paper.

The Book Incubator’s A Novel in 52 Prompts were key for getting me past my writer’s block when I faced writing my most difficult scenes. The prompts are designed to inspire a writer to use all 52 Prompts to complete a first draft, or as in my case, use any of the prompts in the middle for essential inspiration!

I love the 52 Prompts! They became my go-to tool during my first draft whenever I got stuck. Each prompt is thoughtfully designed to make you think about how your character’s internal journey intertwines with your plot so that one informs the other, giving every scene a definite purpose that is aligned with the heart of your story.
