Hi, I’m Mary, founder of The Book Incubator™ and 3x novelist with HarperCollins.

After spending over 6 years writing and rewriting my first novel before I landed a book deal, I decided to create the exact program I wished had existed.

The result? The Book Incubator™, the most comprehensive, hands-on, start-to-finish writing program for any writer working on a novel.

And hi, I’m Rufi! Pen/Faulkner Finalist, revision instructor in The Book Incubator™, and 3x novelist with Vintage/Penguin Randomhouse.

After teaching creative writing for years, I decided I wanted to create my own writing program. Then I stumbled across Mary’s Book Incubator, which, turns out, was exactly what I had wanted to create…just bigger and better. So when Mary invited me to teach alongside her, it was literally a dream come true.

I began my author journey publishing books across genres—from humor to fiction to business. After writing for the Books section of The New York Post, I shifted to instructing in the craft of memoir. I’m very excited to be a part of the amazing team at The Book Incubator

When I was completing my first draft of my first novel, I looked at it and thought, I have no idea what to do next. I turned to the Internet and got lost in a rabbit hole of information.
